Meeting No.4/2024: Discussion Meeting between the Interim Judicial Affairs Department and Township Judges

The Meeting No.4/2024 between the Interim Judicial Affairs Department under the National Unity Government (NUG) and the Township Judges was held at 1:00 p.m. (Myanmar time) on April 27, 2024.

The Director General, relevant directors and officials of the Interim Judicial Affairs Department, relevant township judges from 28 township courts and communication officers attended the meeting.

Firstly, the Director General of the Interim Judicial Affairs Department, U Yan Gyi Aung, delivered an opening speech: I would like to deliver a greeting Mingalar Par to all attendees at meeting; the monthly activities should be regularly submitted on the specified date; if there are any difficulties regarding the criminal cases, it can be reported; it is needed to work together in coordination with each other related to criminal cases; people should be provided services in accordance with the specifications so that township judges have already appointed as officers of oath on the ground for marriage, divorce and oath to provide services people; I would like to thank all the judges and the staff of the Interim Judicial Affairs Department who attended the meeting despite difficulties.

Afterward, the responsible officials from relevant departments answered questions and challenges raised by the township judges regarding on-ground operations and administration, and the Director General of the Interim Judicial Affairs Department approved the meeting resolutions and outlined plans.

Following that, the Director General of the Interim Judicial Affairs Department delivered in closing remarks: Operational difficulties can be presented at any time; it will be connected with the necessary departments; and I would like to wish to be healthy and safe and thank all attendees despite the difficulties.

The meeting was successfully concluded at 2:21 p.m. (Myanmar time).
