As for the Ministry of Justice, we have understandably seen the worthiness of information and communication in Myanmar’s Spring Revolution as telecommunication and information have many profound effects on society.
We acknowledge that communication networks and digital platforms have greatly contributed to the free flow of information, peaceful protests, and awareness of the voice of the Myanmar people to the world.
We respect and honor the resilience of the people and their strong spirit in the use of technology amid challenges in the flow of information under the military dictatorship.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Justice appreciates and welcomes ‘World Telecommunication and Information Society Day’, promising and ensuring for creation of a secure digital society for the free flow of information and freedom of speech, together with the goals of the end of military dictatorship, achievement of federal democracy, and belongings to equal ethnic rights which all the people of Myanmar desire.
