Interim Judiciary System Implementation Committee Meeting No. (2/2024) convened on May 22, 2024, at 1:30 PM.
The Union Prime Minister and Chairman of the committee, U Mann Win Khaing Than, the Union Minister of the Ministry of Justice and Vice-chairman (2), U Thein Oo, and committee members attended the meeting.
The Union Prime Minister, U Mann Win Khaing Than, delivered the opening speech emphasizing the importance of establishing an independent judiciary to earn the trust of the people of the Nation and the international community. Subsequently, the participants thoroughly deliberately discussed about all relevant matters concerning recent judicial activities.
Union Prime Minister and Chairman of the Committee, U Mann Win Khaing Than, underscored that the Executive, Judiciary, and Legislature are under close observation by the international community to ascertain the effectiveness of their activities. He urged thorough review and swift implementation of the discussed issues, emphasizing that as the revolution progresses, delays in the judicial sector must be avoided.
