Today, June 19, marks the 79th birthday of State Counselor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, a public leader whom we all respect and love.

As the Ministry of Justice, we, send our best wishes to Daw Aung San Suu Kyi for her 79th birthday: “May you continue to be blessed with happiness, good health, strength, hope, and freedom with the prayers and love of the people, although you are in the arbitrary arrest of the military dictators”.

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has spent her entire life in prison throughout Myanmar’s violent struggle for democracy since 1988 and has sacrificed her whole life standing up for the oppressed people of Myanmar who deserve freedom and democracy. She has sowed the seeds of human rights and justice in Myanmar.

Due to the efforts and perseverance of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Myanmar has started to walk the path of democracy. However, on 1st February 2021, the military dictators tried to seize the State’s power illegally. That is why the Spring Revolution emerged due to the military coup.

We, the Ministry of Justice, promise to continue to fight with full energy and strong spirit in the Spring Revolution till receiving the victory of the Federal Democratic Union, respecting and emulating the unwavering spirit, strength, and courage of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, despite being oppressed and arrested by military dictators for many years.

The Ministry of Justice wishes and hopes that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, who loves the people like her children, and all our people, who love her like a mother, may meet together and live together happily and peacefully in the near future.
